Well, we’ve done it! We’ve made it to the 9th floor. We’re still in the same building you’ve always found us in, just on a different floor. How convenient is that? Now when you visit us, you’ll need to turn left to get to our new lobby, which I, personally love, with it’s white walls and counters in warm contrast to the dark bamboo floors. And our new gym is so pleasant. Despite the floor to ceiling windows, it’s location is one of privacy with a gorgeous view of the Upper East side.
So last year, or rather a week ago, we announced we would be moving our practice from the 6th floor to the 9th floor on January 4th. However, there has been a slight delay and so we have pushed back the date of our move. At this time we do not have a firm date set to receive patients, however, we will let you know as soon as we do!
We are so excited to share our new space with you, Cindy went up to the 9th floor to snag some pictures! These are two of our physical therapists’ new offices and the hallway. So close to being ready!
Update on the move here.
As some of you may know, we have decided that we want to provide you with a larger, loftier, more spa-like space for your physical therapy treatment. As we announced in our newsletter last week, we are moving from the 6th floor to the 9th floor!
To ensure that you have the best experience at EMH, we’re moving up to a fully renovated ninth floor that offers more amenities. We will create e a tranquil healing center with bamboo flooring, more spacious treatment rooms with modern furnishings, Sonos system playing relaxing music, and nature-inspired art on our walls. Our reception area will provide complimentary teas and coffees for you to enjoy while you wait for your next appointment or for anyone waiting for you during your appointment. Our open plan airy gym will have more light with the greenhouse glass wall and a birds-eye view of the Upper East Side.
The best part is that as the renovation is being done now, we will never have to close for the move. Just come up to the 9th floor starting January 4th.
We’d love to keep you updated with the renovation process.
This is one of our new treatment rooms, and as you can see, it is quite a bit bigger!
This is the hallway to the back of our new space.
We continue to incorporate our orthopedic expertise, pelvic floor specialization and equipment such as biofeedback and MultiRadiance Laser modality to fully heal men and women with a variety of conditions. Each individualized 50 minute session is provided by a Doctor of Physical Therapy. We offer discounted treatment packages and educational programs such as “Healthy Body After Baby” to educate and prevent future issues of new moms.
Our move in date is set for January 4, 2016, so please stop by to enjoy some tea and take a tour of our new practice.
This fall is turning into a busy one for us here at EMH! Not only do we have Dr. Echenberg joining us this October, but we will be hosting an event at the end of November for new and expectant moms. In addition to getting to meet other moms, this event will be a talk by our very own therapists, Kirsten Hober and Charissa Morrisroe on the effect pregnancy has on the pelvic floor, how your body changes both during and after pregnancy, and some exercises and posture techniques that are easy to implement while caring for your baby.
In October of 2015, EMH Physical Therapy and The Echenberg Institute for Pelvic and Sexual Pain will begin a collaborative initiative in New York City for comprehensive assessment and treatment of men and women with chronic pelvic pain.
We are pleased to announce that in October 2015, Robert J. Echenberg, MD, FACOG, world renowned for his expertise in the treatment of chronic pelvic, genital and sexual pain, will be working with Evelyn Hecht PT ATC of EMH Physical Therapy, the premier pelvic specialty practice located on the Upper East Side of New York City.
Together, we will offer our expert services in one place where men and women suffering with chronic pelvic pain/pelvic floor dysfunction can be diagnosed, educated, receive a broad range of treatments and find support.
